TOUCAN is the music project of pop, funk and soul artist, Conor Clancy.
He released his debut single We Fell For Miles in Spring of 2018 and it had instant success on Spotify, accumulating millions of streams with large listenership in Ireland, The UK, USA, and Australia. He received airplay from Ireland’s biggest stations such as RTÉ 2fm, RTÉ Radio 1, Spin1038, Redfm, WLRfm, and many more.

Once he released his debut EP, the momentum accelerated considerably – he was chosen to perform at Other Voices 2018, had sold out shows all across Ireland and in London, was asked to be special guest for Nile Rodgers & CHIC in Dublin and played a support set in London’s Royal Albert Hall. He’s been asked to be special guest for Durand Jones & The Indications and for James Blunt, and performed live on BBC Radio London for the Robert Elms show.
The Summer of 2019 was packed full of festivals where the act was featured at Knockanstockan, Kaleidoscope, Love Sensation and Electric Picnic, the latter of which was reviewed by Hot Press as ‘a triumphant debut…hoards of teenage devotees shouting back every word’. The momentum continued throughout the year, with a show in New York for Mondo Music Conference, a UK & Ireland tour, performances at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and Coughlan’s Live Festival, the release of a second EP and a sold-out performance at The Academy, Dublin.

2020 began brightly, starting the year with yet another sold-out performance at Cork’s Cyprus Avenue, but when the pandemic hit, the momentum was stopped in its tracks. Over the last two years, Conor has been writing and recording demos, and is ready to face the next chapter.

Conor is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Tramore, Ireland. After finishing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from University College Cork, he formed TOUCAN as a vehicle to explore his songwriting. Since the formation of the project in 2018, he has teamed up with many collaborators to develop the songs and begin playing live. The debut single, We Fell For Miles, was released and had instant success on Spotify, accumulating over two million streams from all over the world, with many people listening in Ireland, the UK, The United States and Australia. Following the success of We Fell For Miles, TOUCAN released a debut EP in August of 2018.

Once this was released, momentum really accelerated. TOUCAN was featured at Other Voices 2018, and sold out their first ever tour, playing shows in Cork, Dublin and London. After those sold-out dates, they were included in many of Ireland’s biggest festivals of 2019, such as Trinity Ball, Kaleidoscope, Love Sensation, Knockanstockan, and Electric Picnic. That same Summer, they were invited to be special guest to Nile Rodgers & CHIC in Dublin and to the Average White Band in the Royal Albert Hall, London.

In Autumn of 2019, they played their first US show in New York, completed a UK & Ireland Tour, released a second EP and finished a hugely successful year at The Academy, Dublin. Following a two year break due to the pandemic, Conor is recording new material to be released in Autumn 2022. This Summer they are special guests to Hermitage Green, and to James Blunt on his UK & Ireland Tour, playing at his gigs in Belfast, London, and Dublin. As well as this, they are featured in the line ups at festivals such as Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul in Birmingham as well as the Kilkenny Arts Festival at the Set Theatre.
