Projective are a diverse pool of musicians and writers based in Cork City, who have crafted a unique, original repertoire of music which fuses RnB, Neo-Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop.
With a year having passed since their sold out debut in Cork Opera House’s “Green Room” Venue, the band have gone on to perform and impress at an array of events and venues across the country including the Everyman Theatre for Cork Guinness Jazz 2023, as well as Chamomile Garden and BlackTones in Dublin.
In addition to those shows, Projective performed to a sold out room in The Kino in April.
Having now established their sound over a busy year of performing and recording, Projective are keen to release what they have been working on later this year.
Smithereens ‘In February of 2024, a fresh and explosive new sound hit the Cork music scene hard. Relishing every second spent on stage together, and sporting what can only be described as an arts and crafts project gone wrong, that sound was Smithereens.
Hailing from Kilkenny, Leitrim and Cork, Smithereens is the fabrication of a long burning desire to share art with dear friends and to make them dance. With their unique blend of jazz, funk and grunge, this is an artistic ambition that regularly comes to fruition. Emotive songwriting paired with some not-too-shabby musicianship proves to work wonders both in the studio and at live shows, where the 4 lads seem to enjoy themselves even more than the audience. Smithereens have been described as having the ‘energy of Gurriers’, and the ability to create an ‘unspoken electricity between themselves and the crowd.’
Smithereens have sold out local Cork venues such as the Kino, completed their first Irish tour and released their first EP, along with two standalone singles. The four lads are excited to show the world the music they’ve been working on and recording in 2025.’
Syano Hailing from Cork, Ireland, Syano is a genre-blending collective that fuses hip-hop, jazz, and soul into a rich and immersive sound. The band consists of Philip Corkery on vocals and guitar, Chris LaMotte on bass, Tom O’Donovan on keys and Liam Berry on drums. Syano crafts a sonic experience that is both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly contemporary.
Known for their dynamic live performances, Syano has graced some of Ireland’s most renowned stages, including Whelans, Róisín Dubh, Cyprus Avenue, and The Everyman Theatre, captivating audiences with their instrumentation, and heartfelt lyricism.
