Tolü Makay is a Nigerian-Irish alternative pop soul artist celebrated for her commanding voice and emotionally charged performances. Creating music that feels both intimate and universal.
Tolü has performed across Europe and the US, from intimate theatre stages to international festivals. Highlights include opening for Disclosure at Guinness’ inaugural festival, starring in an RTÉ documentary alongside Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi, and performing for the President of Ireland at his 80th birthday. Her song Aye was featured in the BBC/Hulu series Conversations with Friends, and she has appeared on stages in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Estonia and London.
Her breakout moment came with a cover of “N17” that went viral, moving Graham Norton to tears and cementing her reputation as one of Ireland’s most compelling new voices. In 2025, Tolü released her powerful single WAR and is preparing the EP People Still Cry in Summer, a body of work that explores resilience and vulnerability, out 26th of September.
